Laptop For Sale! New Samurai Cowboy Images! We made something else!

So, you all witnessed the victory of the Moving In Pictures film "Her Name Was Gizmodo" on the Laptop Confidential Film Contest by Gizmodo.com.

We got tons of votes from fans like you around the country and we won a brand new IBM Lenovo Thinkpad Z60t Notebook Laptop. And when I say "Brand New" I'm not kidding, this thing is factory sealed, no one besides the fine people at IBM who put it together have touched it.

What does an emerging film company do with such technology?

We sell it on eBay to raise funds for our feature film, "The Inbetween."

Thats right, if you're in the mood for buying things and also supporting indepenedent film, head over to a little emerging website called eBay to bid on the Moving In Pictures auction for this snazzy new laptop computer. It has fingerprint identification. So, its perfect if you're like, say an international spy, or just really paranoid about things.

Speaking of paranoid, our own Thom Denick has created three new panels for "Orphanage: A Samurai Cowboy Adventure" a comic based on the Moving In Pictures script for "Samurai Cowboy" another feature in development over here. We never stop making movies! Click on the image below to be magically transported to a magical land of post-apocalyptic, flesh eating zombies, and the samurais who slaugher them. Fun, no?

WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

Rather than sitting around eating popcorn and checking off Oscar ballots that we didnt' fill out anyway, the Moving In Pictures team decided rather than sit around watching people who made movies clap their hands, we would spend the day...MAKING A MOVIE.

...er...music video.

Either way, Moving In Pictures is proud to announce that we've got our first music video unerway for the song "The Nocturnal House" by the indie-rock band "Pretty Girls Make Graves." The video has been produced for submission in a YouTube.com contest, where the winner picked by Matador records, and the band will recieve a cool $1000. Oh, how I wish you all could vote on this one too. See if you can guess what we'd do with that money. If you guessed "use it for our feature film, The Inbetween" then you're dead on.

I'm not going to tell you what its about, all I'm going to say is, there's a city, a giant menacing robot, and a superhero...or two.

This will be available to see on YouTube.com and here on MovingInPictures.net</b before the 1st of April. Special thanks to Los Angeles actors Derek Long, Renee Johnson for their acting chops, and the mighty Rick Chou for the studio space.

Since, I'm all about hints, here are some teaser pictures from this weekend's production:

Thanks for checking in. Always more down the pike!

What is going on with "Rope Burn?"

Since production wrapped on November 6th, 2005 we've been very busy cutting and putting all the finishing touches. The week after the shoot was spent in front of a green screen with the disgusting tentacle effect built by Ryan French and John Wrightson.

We've been cutting and adding, cutting some more, adding a few things here and there, cutting, and then cutting again. We're very proud to say that this week the film will be picture locked and then our amazingly talented composer Jennifer Kes Remington will be laying down the tracks for the music, and new member to the Moving In Pictures team, Anthony Sherritt will be adding all the scary sounds that we like to call "Post Production Sound Design."

We're on track to deliver the final film around the middle of February and soon after that "Rope Burn" will be available to you, dear viewer, directly through the Moving In Pictures website.

In other news, writer Jesse Ryan Vigil has finished the final draft for Moving In Pictures' first feature length film "The Inbetween." And to tie it all together, look for a teaser trailer for "The Inbetween" on "Rope Burn" DVD this Spring.

We're making independent films move. We're Moving In Pictures.

"Rope Burn" will feature some intense action scenes, grusome practical effects, and amazing special effects and you can look for it on DVD coming in February 2005!
